Tales of from the front line.

I just downloaded Galaxy Forge. From the SINS website. Noticed it required .NET 2.0. Made sure I had .NET, I have .NET 3.5 . I tried to start up Forge but with no luck. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?  Do I need .NET 2.0 and not .NET 3.5?

EDIT: A window pops up saying..."This application has failed to start because d3dx9_36.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.

So I will re-install and see what happens.

It looks like you're missing a required DirectX file.  You should try getting the latest version of DirectX 9 from Microsoft and install that.

Grab the DX Web installer here:

LoL, new problem. The maps Ive made do not show up in game menu. I saved the into the galaxy folder in the SINS folder.

Edit: Upon further exploration, Ive have found that Galaxy Forge is not saving the file at all. Well, Galaxy Forge saves something that only it can see. When I try to find it in my SINS file and open with notepad says file does not exits.

I have a problem also i downloaded galaxyforge then I used 7-zip to extract it to under stardock games folder but i get two diagnostic messages from 7-zip.

cannot open output file C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\GalaxyForge1.1\GalaxyForge.exe

cannot open output file C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\GalaxyForge1.1\Ironclad.Managed.dll

The files show up in the 7-zip file manager directiory but not in windows explorer and I have deleted and reinstalled it several times
